How to Measure Your Ring Size

A comprehensive guide to finding your perfect fit at home.

Method 1: Using the Online Ring Sizer

Our online tool is the most accurate digital method available. Here's how to use it:

  1. Calibrate: Click "Calibrate Screen" and use a standard credit card. This ensures the digital measurements match real-world sizes.
  2. Use an Existing Ring: Place a ring that fits the target finger on your screen.
  3. Match: Adjust the slider until the blue circle matches the inner edge of your ring perfectly.
  4. Read: Your size will be displayed instantly for your preferred standard.

Method 2: The String or Paper Trick

If you don't have a ring, you can measure your finger directly:

  1. Wrap a piece of string or paper around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen.
  3. Measure the string or paper against a ruler (in millimeters).
  4. Subtract the outer thickness to get the internal diameter, or use our circumference guide.

3 Tips for the Most Accurate Results

  • Measure Multiple Times: Your finger size can fluctuate throughout the day. Measure 3-4 times for consistency.
  • Check Your Knuckle: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
  • Consider Band Width: Wider bands feel tighter than thin ones. If you're buying a wide ring, consider going up half a size.
